If you are falling behind on your minimum payments, then maybe it is time you looked into a debt settlement program for help.
I have talked to some people that feel that anyone who cannot afford to pay the minimum payments are being dishonest and that everybody should pay back in full every penny of what the credit card company says they owe. I do know that most of the people I do speak with want to pay off their credit card debt, they just need help in doing so.
Most people are not looking to walk away Scot free because if they did they would not be trying to work out a deal to pay off the balances of their credit cards with the help of a debt negotiations company. You should not judge someone who is using a credit card debt settlement company to negotiate their debts until you know what the reason they are having trouble paying on their credit cards. There are some things that we have no control over and with the high number of Americans losing their jobs, this may be the only option for them besides Bankruptcy. Plus when you have a family to support, you have to make sure you have a roof over your head and food on the table.
